The Chicago Public Education Fund has released its annual list of grants to support education in the city's public schools, and this year's winners include a program that prepares teachers of color for leadership roles in the schools, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The fund, which has been around for more than a quarter century, awards cash prizes of up to $10,000.
It also offers professional development programs for current and future principals.
